Looking for the Yahoo! Groups Traveller_TNE messages / files

HI All,

An acquaintance is looking for the messages from the Yahoo! Groups Traveller_TNE group. The service was shut down a few years ago, but he’s unsure if anyone archived the group.

Any pointers, contacts, etc., appreciated.

Well, nope, sorry you're out of luck.

They could only recover files from public groups, and the TNE group was not public. So, the Internet Archive is out.

Yeah, I'd been there earlier. My acquaintance had given someone access to the group to archive it but apparently that never happened. Thanks for your response though!

I am also looking for the archive of this as well. I know Yahoo made the archive available to members at the time, if you took the effort to download it. But I've not been able to find anyone who has.

Yea, I never understood why the folks that stood up those groups made them "private". I mean, I understand having to vet folks who want to post, but why did folks make them private to lurkers? I was on a couple of groups like that.

Reap and sow and all that I guess.

Worse, of course, since the group is gone, if you didn't reach out to alternate means of hooking up with group members, the group literally vanishes overnight. It just dies in the dark.

Edit, actually think i might have the wrong mail group, the one i have was tne-rces@silent-tower.org

I have some, seems I have from 16/01/2009 to 01/11/2013, 266 messages in all not sure if that is complete for that time period.
