Mnemosyne Principalities

Martin

SOC-3
Any of the gurus out there who can point me towards any canon information on the Mnemosyne Principalities in the Foreven sector.

I'm working on a new campaign and have decided to use that area of the sector and just want to know if there are any guidlines already out there somewhere. I ahve the library data collections and the original Foreven article in Imperiallines but have pretty much drawn a blank elsewhere. Particularly interested in items such as political organizations, aliens, worlds and unusual technologies.
Thanks in advance

Martin,

The Foreven Sector was set aside as a "GMs Preserve" by GDW. IIRC, it happened early in the CT era during the "Land Grant" period.

As such, there is no official canonical information regarding Foreven, despite mentions in various GDW products like the Chamax Double Adventures! ;)

The "Imperillines" article you have is most likely the only published information dealing with Mnemosyne. That means you can make stuuf up!

Have fun,
Bill

While Foreven was set aside as a GM's preserve there is some information on the Mnemosyne Principality, as its core was in the Far Frontiers Sector to spinward.

A lot of the FASA adventures were set in the Far Frontiers, and while none of the published adventures were set in Mnemosyne Subsector (Subsec P), UWPs were generated for it, and info on the Mnemosyne Principality by Dale Kemper appeared in ARES Special Edition 2 in 1984, to be republished in The Traveller Chronicle 3 in the Mid 90s.

They're probably hard to track down, so if you want me to PM the info to you, let me know.

If I recall correctly the Imperiallines article had 5 'canon' UWPs - those of the two worlds from the Chamax adventure, that of capital of the Avalar Consulate, that of the main Zhodani World, and a Mnemosyne world. If anyone has access to that article I'd appreciate the UWPs and Info on those worlds.

TTFN,

Starviking

The Far Frontiers stuff was reprinted in The Traveller Chronicles... also hard to track down, but I happen to have just grabbed a few.

Someone (I assume Dale) is also selling copies of the Far Frontiers manuscripts on eBay. I picked one up and it doesn't suck - it's a pretty good sector writeup that ties together a lot of the FASA-developed regions.

This is Martin really, I screwed up my password/email address and nobody seems to be responding to COTI contact messages to get it reset, therefore I've re-registered under this name......Duh!

Anyway thanks for your repsonses I was aware of the link to FASA adventures as I've enjoyed several of their adventures there, though I didn't know about Dales information in the chronicle so I would be grateful if you could forward it Starviking and in return I could send you that Imperiallines information.

Do a google search for "Traveller Sector Information". There's a composite list that you can sort through. It's a little out of date, though, but only for QLI and Avenger stuff.

The owner of the list (Don McKinney) was willing to do an update if he was sent the info. I had sent him some but then got busy.

Flynn, if you compile the updates (Stellar Reaches, Avenger, QLI) I'm sure he'd add them when he had a chance.

I will see what I can do.
Not sure if SR is in the caliber of the other resources he lists, but I'd be honored if he did include it.

More later,
Flynn

I did do that update, and added additional material for Foreven sector...

Subsectors L, P and O were printed in issues of the Imperium Staple, if you can get your hands on some of that.

Those issues, plus what Star Viking listed above, are all that I can find as available...
