Oh, sorry. I should have realized that. Sometimes my noggin doesn't work as well as it used to.

I don't know if that is from source material or not, but something I found interesting from Invasion Earth was that each of their 3 main meson installations was at a starport. Occurs to me that the Imperium might see value in a state of the art meson installation under their control at the starports, state of the art in this case meaning it was installed a long time ago and they didn't see a point in upgrading the meson but they upgraded the computer.
