mobile Traveller CYOA "choose your adventure"

Funny how a couple seeming unrelated ideas can suddenly mesh together. Then of course you find out that you're late to the party.

I've been having fun looking at some of the old CYOA (choose your own adventure) game books from the 80s. At the same time I've also been trying to figure out the CMS Wordpress package. I suddenly realized that Wordpress CMS makes it really easy to replicate one of these old gamebooks on a mobile device. I am not saying this world be an application but I think you could add a lot features.

There were several Fighting Fantasy gamebooks with a Sci-Fi theme

Poking around on rpggeek I see that the Fighting Fantasy gamebook series "Sorcery" has been ported to iOS. This is a much more advanced app than I am thinking but its gives some interesting ideas.

I saw a CYOA based on the zombie apocalypse...by max brailer...can YOU survive the zombie apocalypse.

In 20 min I died 5 times, joined a motorcycle gang, and ended up greatly amused.

I am going through the old I.C.E "Spy at Isengard" right now. It would be fun to find a book detailing how to write these CYOA books. Do people start out with a map or flowchart to figure out how the paths through the book would work? I might have to look up some of these references listed on wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamebook

The gaming rules are usually just a couple pages in these kinds of books, surely the biggest challenge to writing a Traveller CYOA

Starship Traveller is my favourite FF gamebook. I still have it from around 1986.

I have the new Sorcery! game on my iPhone and it is superb. Oh man, if there was ever a Traveller version of this app I would absolutely love it.
