Mongoose and the Future of Cepheus Engine

A friend of mine (who is an engineer) has a saying about redundancy.
I love high availability failure stories.

One of my favorites was a company built two computer rooms with matching machines on two different floors of the building they were in.

The problem happened that they happened to be located on top of each other and, one day, an air conditioner was dropped through the roof and took them both out.

yeah, redundancy is better located far apart. Why I always stick air locks in widely divergent areas on a ship: you never know what will happen and you may need to get (and yeah, when I do deck plans which is sadly a lot more rarely done now, there are always a redundancy of freshers: it would be really bad to be in jump space and your only toilet goes out on the first day)

but to the threads point: looks like Hasbro realized they would lose everything if they tried to hold on to everything. There is still going to be a LOT of long-term consequences from their greed beyond the layoffs they are currently doing.
