We have just released a new PDF for Traveller, Special Supplement 2: Deadly Assassins. You can grab a copy here;

http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/102523/Special-Supplement-2:-Deadly-Assassins

This Special Supplement for Traveller introduces three schools of assassins, careers to create characters from them, the equipment they use and some sample agents to use in your games.

There are many schools of assassins scattered throughout the galaxy, but only three large enough and powerful enough to become known to more than a few specialists and historians. These are the schools of Dark Eon, Magna Kurr and Torsten Rex.

Each can trace its roots back to the first days man raced to the stars, and it is said that Dark Eon and Torsten Rex are truly ancient, predating any sophisticated technology. Each maintains the same independence borne since the schools’ creation though this has eroded over the centuries, for it is known that both Dark Eon and Torsten Rex, at least, have tight ties with the higher echelons of the human military.

The human military? All umpteen thousand different human military organizations?

Sure, why not? I can accept that pretty easily :)

My issue (tiny, minor, nitpickingly niggly nothing... actually more of a grin than anything :) ...though a bit of a foreboding turnoff :( makes me worry about the actual content) is with the title...

Deadly Assassins... seems a bit redundant :) Assassins are by nature Deadly, or they aren't doing their job right ;)

"I'm sorry Bob, you just can't seem to kill anyone, I'm afraid you aren't cut out to be a Deadly Assassin. Perhaps you could try with the school of Wounding Assassins?"

:)

Maybe it could have been called...

Secret Assassins... except they don't really sound all that secret...

Professional Assassins...

???

I dunno, too late this time I guess. A thought for second thoughts next time maybe.

Deadly Assains

In the equipment they list a TL16 stealth suit which my character got as a mustering out benefit. However there is no protection listed, any ideas as to what it should be. I found a TL15 stealth suit with a protection of 6 so should it stay the same or increase by what amount. I was thinking of making it protection 8. any ideas?

"What's your assassin specialty?"

"Deadly."

Just call the book "Assassin". Done. But I've never been a fan of an assassin career or class, because RPG players are already hobo serial killers.

ADDED:
Um... They need errata already for the Sample File they posted. :) Unless someone here can translate what the Enlistment requirement is.

"The only true alignment in D&D is "murdering pickpocket." "
