Moot membership

I searched the FAQ and couldn't find it, how long does it take for Moot Membership to activate? I just subscribed and am curious to know when the whole shebang sets off.

When I finally joined after years of at least thinking about it, I tried the next day and if I recall, I was let in through the front doors. But I believe it depends on who is watching the list - there are only so many admins and so many hours in a day. So YMMV

It can take up to a week before paypal notifies Marc, and a couple days for it to get to me.
