Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
I have been thinking about buying the Megatraveller: Ship of the Shattered Imperium is it worth picking up? I have the CT traders and gunboats, adventure ships 1 & 2, and some seeker stuff. Is there anything special in it?
Depends if you like LARGE cruisers and the like. It's got lots of capital ships, uninspiring artwork, and some interesting notes on Imperial ship design history and philosophy.
If you are picking it up to complete a collection, or find it cheap then yes pick it up. It is mainly just stats on the really big ships without flavour text for them. Some text at the start on organisation but that's about it. The illustrations aren't bad but nto enough of them. Unless you are a die hard fan of the large ships in your campaign it's probably not worth it.
I'll also point out that many of the ship designs are wrong, like so many books for MT. So if you're thinking picking it up because you are a gearhead, skip it.
It's my understanding that someone on the TML actually posted corrected versions to these ships. Does anyone know who did so, and where these designs might be found?

Normally I´d say: Avoid it like the plague.
- There are only big ships that never won´t fit into an adventuring session.
- There is no fluff text.
- There are only a few illustrations.
- Almost all the designs are impossible by the rules, many horribly so.
- Also, the designs do not make sense in the way of simple physics.
- Even if you correct them, the design decisions make no sense.
The only saving grace are some organizational details on the Imperial Navy and some IMHO decent illos. The actual ships are worthless. Get it only if it´s really cheap.

IIRC, Scott Kellogg and/or Rob Dean did conversions of the *original* Fighting Ships to MT. I have these, along with a *lot* of other vehicle designs they did, as text files somewhere. I could send/post/email these if they can´t be found elsewhere.
