Some very beloved and missing weapons from MoT core rulebook. They have their roles and places in my game. So here are the stats I'm using.

As always, any input is welcome.

Dunno. Don't own a copy. If they are, are they much different?

Sort of, there's about 6 different kinds of SMGs and carbines (including a black powder one). If ACC stands for "Accelerated" or "Accelerator" there's also 5 or 6 of those. The melee weapons are all there, but the numbers are a bit off yours.

There's also an insane variety of ammunition types and kits for weapons. You should see the pimped-up heavy gauss sniper rifle I stated for an NPC using CSC. The thing was obscenely accurate and could penetrate 10 points of armor.

Of course; yours is a very good effort. Far from me to try to force you to buy Supp 4 just to get the "correct" stats for those weapons. :)

I'll have to take a look then.

..and the ACC stands for Advanced Combat Carbine, a short barreled take on the ACR for shipboard and boarding actions.

IMO, the CSC is more vital to any home game than Merc, High Guard or any other supplement. There's alot of tech you would expect from any SF setting but there are plenty that are inspired by Star Wars, WH40K, and similar.

I like the pocket nukes and chainswords. :D

Had a Vargr raider chief w/a chainsword(UPP:FB989E).He scared the bejezzus out of the crew when they ran into him.I got several nasty looks when he got away & threatened vengence on the crew.

I concur with this.

About the only use I see for Merc or High Guard* in my games is Chargen. CSC is my "other must have" book.

* - And, let me add while I'm on the topic, I'm REALLY disappointed at how poorly the large ship rules scale in MongT High Guard. I've mainly been a booster for MongT, but this is one thing I really feel let down by.

I would concur with the above that CSC is excellent and a must-have. I wish it had done more with computer programs but it did a great job with fleshing out technology.

I admit I like the weapons in the Central Supply Catalog. The Hurling Monoblade so much I'm using for the 'Bloody Card' weapon in my campaign in place of the version I created for a player. I've been sifting a little MT stuff into my classic campaign.

I've got my players scared of the Chainsword. After an encounter with a BIG scarrey Varger I've had them run into the "sounds" of chainsaws being used. They are absolutly certain the Varger is after them(he is by the way:smirk:)& have almost shot several people, including each other. The Psionic Engineer is a real mess. The ship has the "old ship" problem of "Distrubing Psionic Echoes."Which she has seen several times, but was also "dug" out of her armour by the Varger. Gods I love gming sometimes.

Psionic Engineer??

Ah...let me guess: Book 4: Psion?

I just got this mental image of a guy willing a PC with Windows Vista to be more stable than Linux. Weird...

Actually her job on board is Engineer, but she is also Psionic.(Though I did let her take the Psi Special Ship Integration.Though Time & Dimensional Manipulations are not allowed for pc's.)

I took a look at it in a local game store. Looked nice but it seemed to concentrate on guns, with less tech.

Though it did have low-tech weapons, which was nice (but I think they stole my Mace design from here).
