Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
Thanks Greylond. Unfortunately upon review of the map, it states it only lists J2 links only, and the stars are no where near their actual placement on the map if galactic directions are used (Bernards star being coreward of Sol, as opposed to its rimward position on the map you pointed out). While the map is great in some respects, it is not quite what I am after. But it does help. Sadly, I may have to knuckle down and do this myself I fear.
I don't have enough done to be worth sharing yet, but am currently working on this exact same thing for my campaign, and will be happy to send you updates as I get them done.
Spica Publishing's Outer Veil ATU setting has a sector-sized map with Earth near the center of it - but not all the real star names have been preserved.
I have an old map of nine subsectors with Earth at the center for a campaign I shelved a few years ago. It focuses on real-life Type V main sequence stars but there are some connecting systems noted - and the distances are relatively accurate
Unfortunately it's hand-drawn on a single 8x11 page but it might be a helpful reference if you're interested.
If you can find a copy of the game map from the old SPI wargame StarForce, it has a lot of the near stars laid out in a hex grid. I was hoping to use that in my project, but unfortunately my copy of is somewhere in the same box w all my Traveller 2300 stuff, which I have not been able to locate recently.
Not sure if this would have them laid out in the same relationship necessary to preserve the 2300AD Arms of colonization.
