North Texas RPG Con: About 60 people Playing Classic Traveller

North Texas RPG Con is getting a strong Classic Traveller presence. It ran earlier this month and had 8 different Classic Traveller game played, each with 6-8 players, with very little overlap in players. About 45-60 people played Classic Traveller at the Con I think.

It is more famous in the "Old School Fantasy RPG" community.

It is a fairly small*, but high-quality Con - this was its 8th year. It is held in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

* The planned attendee limit for next year is 450 attendees plus staff and guests.
This started because of the limited room in their original location, but there was a consensus among attendees the first 2-3 years that "small was bigger" in terms of the experience, so it was decided to keep the con small and the quality high.

We have the following confirmed guests attending in 2016: Bob Bledsaw Jr, Jason Braun, Mike Breault, Chris Clark, David 'Zeb' Cook, Michael Curtis, Darlene, Jeff Dee, Jeff Easley, Matt Finch, Allen Hammack, Kevin Hendryx, Jon Hershberger, Jennell Jaquays, Timothy Kask, Doug Kovacs, David 'Diesel' LaForce, Steve Marsh, Frank Mentzer, Douglas Niles, Erol Otus, Steve Perrin, Merle Rasmussen, Lawrence Schick, Mike Stewart, Dr. Dennis Sustare, James M. Ward, Bill Webb, and Steve Winter. The lineup includes several of the more important figures in the history of RPGs as a whole and Dungeons & Dragons in particular.

Yes - 15 or 16 attendees per guest.
