Online Basics?

Hey, is there anywhere online that covers the basics of the various rules systems? Character creation and so on...

I played Traveller back in high school - which would have been about 20 years ago (yes, I'm old) and maybe some in college. I'm not in a position right now to go plunk down a bunch of cash to buy rulebooks when I haven't even gotten accepted into a PBeM game yet.

Any thoughts?

The T20 Lite PDF is available on this site (though you'll also need a copy of the D&D Player's Manual (3.0 version) or a copy of the SRD. The MegaTraveller Player's Manual and MegaTraveller Referee's Manual are currently available as free, if DRM protected PDFsat www.drivethrurpg.com.

Between those two sets of free PDFs, you probably have enough to get started in most PBEMs.

The core d20 and d20 modern rulesets are available for free download on the d20 site(slips my mind at the moment, can be googled). You'll have to wade through the spells and stuff, but it covers character gen/multiclassing/etc.

Hey, some of us were playing Traveller 25 years ago in high school and we're not old yet . . .
