Google Plus is their social network. It has a feature called "Hangouts" which is multi-line video chat.

Thanks, I am familiar with the multi video of Google + however I thought there was somthing else that had to do with document sharing as well.

Not sure about google, but my group uses Skype, with Idroo as a whiteboard application. It works pretty well, unless you have low bandwidth.

Google Wave? But I believe support for that is going away.

Online, the best I have found is Obsidian Portal and if wanting more face to face action, combined with gametable. I don't use gametable (though I have), but you can see my online game at op in my sig.
