PKF Battalion

Hello all,

Phil Pugliese asked a question on the TML about a reserve unit designated as the PKF Battalion added to the 4518th Lift Infantry Regiment. Does anyone know what PKF is?

PKF = Peacekeeping Force Battalion?

PKF appears usually in connection with UN forces.

Although that seems out of kilter with the other sophont-specific reserve battalions.

Hello Meteoric Assault and Reban,

Thank you both for the replies.

Next, I did not receive a notification of any replies which is why I am late in responding.

All thanks for asking the question goes to Phil
Pugliese, since I could not find any information I brought the request here, but I'll pass your thank you on to him.

Reban your suggested solution as Peace Keeping Force was also one of the replies over on the TML. I still have not been able to find anything and agree that PKF probably means Peace Keeping Force.

Let's not forget that the 4518th has a history dating back over 500 years to the Civil War.

SMC discusses some of the various permutations the regiment has gone through. One of those was an expansion during the Psionic Supressions in which "several" battalions were raised to first apprehend and then sequester psions throughout the Marches.

PKF could refer to peacekeeping or it could refer to something a little less cheerful.

Nothing shows up in the JTAS article on the regiment, the only other thing would be check the Fifth Frontier War game and see if anything is there.

Thank you for the reply and my apologies for not responding, I have passed your suggestion to Phil also.
