Question about AC

ok, according to the combat section AC is 10 + Agility + Size + Armor

and size is -1 (for a 1 ton vessel) to -16 (for a 1,000,000 ton or more vessel)

but according to the designs in the back, 400 tons has a size modifier of +0, and 15 tons has a size modifier of +1

which is right? what am I not understanding?

(btw, I get a max of 31 AC for a TL 15 ship without considering the size modifier)

Ship vs ship uses a different size modifier, you can find it in the errata which you can find here.
