Random Subsector Generator - New Style

BeRKA

SOC-13
The Random Subsector Generator has been updated. It now outputs a PNG-image instead of a map made of ASCII-characters.

But I miss the 80s and ASCII art! ( spent a lot of time learning various ASCII and EBCDIC codings to make boxes and things back then)

Looks good, thanks.

Very impressive! Once again I'm floored by the level of dedication of Traveller's fans.

(Edit: the snag I ran into comes from my navigator, with Chrome the whole site is perfect)

I might use this for my Andromeda Sector, I would roll a 1d8 for the z-axis for each of these star systems. My sector 11 (K) is a bit sparse, in 3d maps there is more space, I want to make most of these reachable by Jump-2 starships. I might also want to combine some star systems into binaries and trinaries. In my system of World generation each component of a binary or trinary gets a mainworld if they have seperate habitable zones, that is if they are close and have only one shared habitable zone, then it gets only one mainworld, otherwise it gets one for each.

This is a great update, I have been using it a lot this week to generate a small per cent of systems for a Spiral Arm.

A lot more robust than I expected.

I used the old version years ago, and this is a vast improvement. The ability to pass it to Travellermap is just useful and wonderful.

It does not seem to be working at the moment. I've tried accessing it via Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. All three produce the same result, the portion of the page containing the generator and it's controls shows up blank while the rest of the text on page is still there.

Is there another update in the works?
