RCES Clipper

Never having owned TNE, I'm intensely curious about the Clipper's standard designs. Can someone give me the basic characteristics of this signature ship?

In particular, I'm interested in:

Bridge
Sensors
Armor
Weapons
Defenses
Carried Craft
Jump Rating
Maneuver (?) Rating
Power Plant Volume, Output, etc.

Plus any distinctive I should be aware of.

Heck, I'm interested in learning a bit about all of the prominent TNE ships.

The RCES Clipper was a modular ship with three standard sizes, a 600 ton, 1000 ton and 2000 ton. There were several types of modules, ranging from 25 ton to 400 ton, for a variety of purposes (fighter-carrying, barracks, quarters and such). The 1000 and 2000 ton versions were going to be used for warships. Oh yes, it had three small craft, typically: a 50 ton cutter, 30 ton ship's boat and a fueller (don't remember the tonnage right now).

I'd have to go take another look at it to describe it more (e.g. crew, jump, etc), but it is in FFS, which I don't have (and don't understand from looking at what's in what I have), but I remember that it had an overlarge crew, like the rest of TNE vessels IMNHO.

I recalled it being here on CotI somewhere and found this thread that probably answers all you want robject:

Check out the BARD SARA pages here:

BARD is the front page, the link you want for ships is SARA in the list

Dan: thanks for the references.

it is in FFS

Ah ok. I have FFS, so will check it out for additional detail.

First Glance

It looks like an ACS version of the Ghalalk modular Cruiser, doesn't it? I like that. And I like those deckplans, Dan.

I'm officially moving this discussion back to the original thread.

Rob - PM me on my gmail address - I did a LOT of looking into this a couple years back (as the thread indicates) and may have some other useful info for you...
