Irilitok: The Irilitok region is located at the rimward trailing

resulted from the Sack of Gashikan, Irilitok remained free of
Vargr settlers for centuries.
Around the year –1,000 many Vargr were forced into slavery
by humans, who selected Vargr with the most ‘human-like’
appearance; those who had shorter muzzles and stood more
erect. On some worlds the Vargr were left unchecked and the
slave population rapidly grew to be the most prominent species.
During this period, other Vargr packs moved to the region to
further increase the Vargr population.
The Vargr population growth resulted in humans taking a more
favourable view toward their Vargr neighbours and it was not
long before racial attitudes relaxed. The presence of the human
owned Menderes Corporation also helped in this regard as
they fostered human-Vargr relations. Although the human and
Vargr communities tend to be separate, there is a strong degree
of racial acceptance and cooperation. On some worlds there
is much less segregation and a greater blending of the two
cultures.
Humans are much more inclined to deal with the Irilitok than
any other Vargr culture and likewise, the Vargr here are more
understanding of human customs.
Sue was born to a Pack of twenty-five sophonts, consisting of three families of six Irilitok Vargr and the fourth consisting of Julian Humans (Solomani-Vilani mixed) who were close enough to emulate Charisma and join the Pack.
Asuerrka's homeworld taught her Streetwise 0 and Computers 0 and tried to put her behind a desk at a terminal, but she had other plans.
Against the Pack's better judgement and because she had the wanderlust, the "Traveller bug", Asuerrka enlisted in the Menderes Corporation Merchant (Free Trader) Division. Seeing the low-Charisma female across the recruiter's desk, Asuerrka was almost turned away. Her recruiter called Asuerrka back in before she could leave the building.
"Sorry, ma'am. I just could not turn away those puppy dog eyes."
"Oh, was I making them?" asked Asuerrka.
On her first Term, Asuerrka was put again behind a desk and told to balance the books aboard a Menderes Corp Fat Trader. She learned Admin 1 after a set of crash courses meant to discourage her from continuing. But despite her low Charisma, Asuerrka passed the Term to learn Drive (Wheeled) 0, Broker 0, Vacc Suit 0, Steward 0, Comms 0, Persuade 0. Naturally this Term was easy to survive since her duties amounted to bookkeeping. Her captain took pity on Asuerrka and tried to push her through an Advanced Training in the Free Trader Specialist curriculum, but she failed the course because of nervousness. For the effort of taking the course, the Fat Trader captain signed off on her exemplar service and had the female promoted to Rank 1 and this made her eligible for Persuasion 1 tutelage from him personally. He went so far as to invite Asuerrka to the bridge to learn Sensors 1.
Asuerrka's second Term was fraught with dangers of running trade outside the safe borders of the Julian Protectorate, between it and the Third Imperium. She barely survived the term because her captain put her off the ship for a long list of Highport tasks while he and the crew went skimming for fuel. The Fat Trader was attacked by Corsairs from a non-aligned world, the crew killed, and the ship looted and stolen. Waiting for her captain to return, Asuerrka managed to lend aid to an IISS Scout, an Imperial woman who was on her last term in the Scouts. When the news of the Fat Trader loss and death of all hands aboard, the Scout lady took pity on Asuerrka and filled a needed position aboard her Beagle Scout. Asuerrka learned Pilot 1, learned to drink with the Scout (Carouse 1) in the Lone Star grills as the Beagle returned to Imperial space. Out of pity for the loss of her captain and crew, Menderes Corporation promoted Asuerrka to Rank 2 but required much filing of reports and learning the ropes of court red tape (Advocate 1).
Sent to a quieted Free Trader vessel, Asuerrka began her third Term. She learned Zero-G 1 movement because of a gravity failure that lasted an entire three weeks, one of them in the hole. In these four years inside Antares Sector, Asuerrka refused to cow under a male Ovaghoun Vargr, an Imperial who neither pitied the Irilitok Vargr nor gave them mercy. He became a Rival of Asuerrka and through misinformation, redirection and outright lies to the naïve Asuerrka, caused her to bankrupt the Free Trader, lose all of her Benefits and be dismissed from the Merchant Division of Menderes Corporation.
However, in light of her previous service, the devastated and humiliated Asuerrka was slipped an invitation to enlist in Menderes Corporation, Agency Division. They needed a Vargr (the Human quota was already overflowed, management came down on Sophont Resources) and Asuerrka's resume fit the bill. She was given a list of training options, to which the female selected the Shotgun. No longer would she be defeated by Infighting alone. She trained hard with the weapon and its range of ammunition types. As a Corporate Agent, Asuerrka's skill in Computers increased as she dug through efficiency reports to find kinks in the flow of goods and flow of credits. Her manager offered her an Advanced Training course in the Specialist tests. This time, years later, Asuerrka passed the Shotgun 201 course and began to worry her office. Still holding a grudge against that Rival Ovaghoun back in the Merchants, the female kept setting up Vargr targets at the firing range. But her discoveries in the Oversight Department earned her a Promotion to Rank 1 Agent and made her eligible for Deception 1 so she could begin field work as an inspector of various Free Trader vessels. Smuggling had become a problem in Corporation ships inside the Third Imperium. Asuerrka learned to lie, omit truths, control her body language and Vargr paralanguage. Since she would be working in the field, her boss sent her to a Handler who let the black female continue to improve her Shotguns to 3 to frightening results.
On her fifth Term, the second in the Corporate Agents of Menderes Corporation, Asuerrka picked up a qualification in Investigate 1. She was called in to probe the legality of a transport dilemma. Asuerrka just barely survived that term as she had left the hangar of the starship in question when the circumspect cargo was cracked open to cause a biohazard lockdown. She barely escaped shaving, harsh detox washings, and a regimen of panaceas to rid her of the biochemicals leak that day. She had been right, her nose telling her that something was wrong with the goods in that ship. She filed her report and it was stamped a Mission Success which not only promoted her but opened one of her two Benefits a bit further. Asuerrka counted her lucky stars and bowed out of the Agency with a higher credentials in Investigate 1 and ended the Career as a Rank 2 Corporate Field Agent.
For only two Terms, Asuerrka's pay of Cr2000 was measly and she almost complained to Benefits Department when the option to take an Augment stopped her. Asuerrka opted for the Wafer Jack instead of some bulky, unsightly or otherwise evident cybernetic implant. A surgery later and Asuerrka emerged from her two Careers on the border between Diaspora and Old Expanses Sectors.
She met Gunnery Sergeant Amir Kazan and was on hand to deliver much needed supplies, ammunition and weapons to a ground war Kazan was involved. The "hot drop" allowed his unit to continue fighting, hold the line until reinforcements arrived. The drop taught Asuerrka Zunrravekh the skill of Stealth 1 among the dunes of Asmera (Diaspora 3020) a Desert world.
Normally friendly, bouncy, idealistic and an incurable romantic, Asuerrka "Sue" Zunrravekh does have a vengeful streak and can hold a grudge against those who harm her. She has come to the Old Expanses having Mustered Out of the Menderes Corporation, Agency Division in hopes of rebuilding her mercantile portfolio. She has a sweet tooth for spiced beef jerky, romance novels and old Terran soap operas.
