Spinward Flow
SOC-14 5K
Still not completely satisfied with my last draft deck plan design, I decided to rework it again so as to stretch the fuselage out even longer (another 8 deck squares/12 meters) in order to achieve the "pointy nose" Concorde style look all the way up front. I also reworked my implementation of the "bridge bubbles" and added 2 more workstations to the bridge under the center windows.
The fuselage stretch allowed me to change the shape of the wings, giving them more sweep on the leading and trailing edges (thanks to a longer wing root section) and a narrower wingspan.
Overall dimensions are now:
99m long (66 deck squares)
57m wide (38 deck squares)
13.5m tall (4.5 decks high) in a clean configuration, 15m tall (5 decks high) with ventral external docking ports filled with Modular Cutter Modules
For reference, here is the FASA book artwork that inspired this effort.
