One of the most enjoyable ST:TNG episodes was the one where returned and went 'old school' on Geordi. Definitely in my top ten of that series.

Kirk: "How long before we can take her out again?"
Scotty: "8 weeks sir...but I'll have her out in 2!"
Kirk: "Mr Scott...have you always multiplied your repair estimates by a factor of 4?"
Scotty: "Certainly, sir! How else can I keep my reputation as a miracle worker?"
