Does anyone know if these products were illustrated? What is the quality of the illustration? Comparable with CT/MT?

I have pdf copies of the Space Opera stuff from drivethruRPG. I haven't really done much with them, however.

There are illustrations and deckplans, maybe a notch or two below CT quality. They have a rougher feel.

I haven't really taken a close look, but at first blush I'd say the deckplans are not compatible with CT guidelines at all. Then again, a lot of GDW's deckplans and ship descriptions weren't, either.

Actually, I had Vol 1 on my Lexar drive, so I popped it in during lunch today to take a closer look.

Artwork is sparse, but actually better than I'd remembered. Good, sharp lines. A few silhouette-type illos, some smaller art pieces as well. The deckplans are not gridded, and again, not compatible with CT stats. But there are some neat designs there, which can serve as a starting point for your own designs.

There is little detail, but the material is ready for SpaceOpera game use.

Scale is not entirely consistent. Style is.

Text is comparable to Supp 7.

Usability for traveller: acceptable, but note that fuel rates vary WILDLY from Traveller assumptions.

I have volume one in dead tree. The illustrations were sparse, but they did include reasonable scale deck plans. Of course, several of their designs violated their own building rules, but every game does that...
