Well, not too many navies out there have a dreadnaught class ship. The HPA have some huge monitors at Granth, but they're TL-9 & A mostly, with mod 5 computers..nothing in excess of 100ktns, and non jump.
Only the Galian Federation REALLY imports hi tech parts as part of interstellar Trade--and that from the Imperium predominates thru Ley sector, aside from TL-C stuff from the Megusard Corporate..who've been building SEMS 10ktn self-escorting merchant ships might not be warship knockouts--but the 100dtn-1ktn raiders that predominate it can hold its own.
I think a fast Frigate design of the 2-3ktn size maybe evn 5kton would be okay--I'm sure the GF escorts its trade within its polity of space, its the run around the Viyard Concourse space that gets dicey. an escort "jeep" light carrier with a couple of squadrons of fighters wouldn't also be a bad thing.
