Short Traveller fiction involving nonhuman races?

In one of the Megatraveller books there's a cool example of Vargr roleplaying -- a three-part story about a Vargr with analysis and explanation for each part. I've translated it into a booklet for my players, who found it very good for the purpose of actually learning how to imagine and play Vargr.

I don't have any similar stuff for Aslan and Droyne, and I'm not exactly sure it exists, but perhaps I can adapt and write analysis starting from an existing fanfic or something like that. Could someone point me towards a few?

Or, failing that, I can write my own from scratch. My biggest problem is it's kinda hard to identify or devise situations that would systematically highlight a species' mindset and abilities. Scenario ideas, anyone?

As for Aslan, there are similar examples (and quite good ones, IMHO) in he The Rimward Races: Solomani and Aslan alien book (also MT), as there are for the Solomani (same book) and for the The coreward races:Vilani (in The coreward races: Vilani and Vargr, as the ones you talk about).

AFAIK, the other planned MT Alien books (for what I've heard they were bound to be The Psionic Races; Droye and Zhodani and The Strange Races: Hiver and K'Kree) were never published, but I guess they would have included some such examples.

About K'Kree, I've read somewere (ITTR in a Digest, but I'm not sure) a history about a human ship carrying a K'kree misión in cold sleep that went awry that could (to a point) fill that role, though it's seen from the human crew prespective.

As for the K'Kree, their mindset is quite different, but I guess it would be doable, (I'd base it either on claustophobia, gregariousness or fear from carnivores, while making the smell importance filling on it somhow, but that's a personal view) as for Droyne, IMHO it would be fully dependent on caste, and for the Hiver, my guess it's that it would be quite difficult, due to the even more strange mentality and different ways of communication (no speech).

Also in the Odissey of the Bard Refugee there appeared some Droyne, both Imperial and non-imperial ones that can help you.

Unfortunately AFAIK it's still unfinished :(, but you'll find it here.

Heh, thanks, I'll check those out!

Tbh, I only care for Aslan and Droyne examples. Hivers are supposed to be weird and mysterious, so it's fine if my players don't know the ins and outs of their psychology. And K'Kree... well, K'Kree get no place in my games, not even on a bbq spit.

Some other races I contemplated making avaliable for PCs are dolphins and uplifted apes. I mean, most of the groups I played with accepted Vargr pretty well, so... yeah.
