had a big seizure some years ago, lost about a week's worth of memory. quite interesting to experience really.

I've had several experiences with amnesia...

the most significant was due to a meds change. Everyone tells me I was delightful but useless. No short term memory, limited executive function. I only know this because, when I was taken off, having handed my principal's note to my doc, I detoxed from it over another week, and after that, students were thankful I was useful again. When students say you're useless...

The most interesting thing is that I was still functional, but formed no memories of the time... but I've been told about it by students and coworkers alike...

I think I'd rather have been in a coma.
