Correct check out the damage section in the book.
basically swing hit take x off stamina then
check armour reduction. for example full plate is ar 4. so if you do 2d6 rolling 1 and 6 for total of 7 lose 7 of stamina and try to drop 4 die. you can't since you roll two. Drop the lowest. the 1. Subtract 3 for 6 giving 3 off lifeblood.
