Solitaire Traveller: Dwarfstar's Starsmuggler

Across the Bright Face is one I was thinking of in particular.

Or perhaps a pair of linked scenarios. For example, something like Night of Conquest, followed immediately by a scenario where you have to smuggle someone off-world and into another system?

I'm a micro-game addict, sid6.7.

I'm sure you're aware that Fireydragon has revived the concept with games like The Final Frontier and The Marcher Lords, right?

I don't have the time or patience to play 'real' war games of the seventies or even Joe Miranda's newer designs from Strategy and Tactics... and the lack of firm/clear rules kinda scares me away from 'real' rpgs. My favorite kind of games are the ones that blur the lines between the two genres.

I just like it when you get depth & playablity with just a few rules. Steve Jackson's Ogre rules the roost in this department. I hate to see other games with 100 times the rules/support but that aren't even half as playable.... Heh heh.

Both Across the Bright Face and (especially) Mission on Mithril play very well as solo games with 'minimal' tweaking (I rolled up some characters and gave each a characteristic, ' curious' reckless', 'coward' etc. Throw 2D for the characteristic and use this as the throw to see if the char comes into play in the situation).
