I recorded the first two episodes, watched the first one fully and stopped about five minutes into the second. I gave it a chance but I don't think I'll watch any more. Just not my cup of tea...

I watched this a lot when I was a kid. I tried watching it now and... I'm going to pass. I still have theme song mostly memorized, tho.

Strange coincidence: a German radio station which usually plays classical music has a 'soundtracks' feature, playing various movie soundtracks for two hours in the evening every day of the week. More often than not from smaller movies as well as the major block busters. Last time I was listening in right after reading this thread when they announced: "And coming up next: the 'Love'-theme from 'Star Blazers'." Unusual - as they rarely did play music from television before.
