Starship Design [MT]

Hello Together!

I have got a question regarding MT starship design.

Recently, i was redesigning some of the ships and vehicles found in the Imperial Encyclopedia. I couldn't help to notice, that some of the values given (in the book) are simply wrong, to low or to high.

E.g. the Far Trader in the mentioned configuration (TL-15) would have an additional 20+ tons of free space. The price wouldn't match either, but I once read the basic vessels (speak : rulebook-vessels) are calculated at 20% their price(?).

Though I'm not dying upon this recoveries, I'm wondering, if I miss something? I'm using the standard MT-design-rules from the Referee's Handbook, including all the errata.

Thank you for your help,
have a nice day,

IMHO, the explanation is: They just converted these vessels over from Classic Traveller without properly re-designing them. If you look at the ships in Classic Traveller, you will find that their stats exactly match those in MT. Considering that the design systems are quite different in many points, this is practically impossible.

Which just proves...

There is no Travelller but Classic Traveller ^_^

Tobias
