General Starship Miniatures?

Has anyone gotten the 2nd Dynasty Starship Miniatures?

I've been seeing pics and they look great!

I'm really surprised that no one is offering them to be painted.

I know I'd buy them if they were already done.

I figure that's because most buyers don't have a 3D printer and want to paint them themselves. For those that don't have a 3D printer and don't want to paint them themselves, they can always use a painting service and have the models sent direct to them by the seller.

I do have all the 2nd Dynasty Traveller ships and have printed most of the 1/270 scale models (I haven't done the small craft from their more recent Kickstarter yet, and I need to reprint some of the originals due to breakages in storage). I've also printed the Type S at 28mm and "tactical" scale.

They are great models. My only quibble is that I'd have preferred the "tactical" versions to have been done at a set scale rather than "looks OK on a 1 inch hex flight stand".

See, the whole printing thing is my issue...

Well and the 1/270 scale. Now the trick is to find someone to print them at 1/300th... Though really the landing gear, is the issue, as 1/270, 1/285th and 1/300th are all pretty much the dame idea.

Consider this doing a starport in 6mm....

The files are easy enough to re-scale from 1/270 to 1/300. Landing gear is the problem as most ships at these scales are designed to be "in flight" on stands. I did try scaling down the landing gear from the 28mm ships (actually, it might have been the ones from the 15mm version of the Type S), but the big problem is attaching them to the ships as they don't have the bays for them.

I actually had the same thought about using them for a starport.

It's really the landing gear.

Darkest Star Games has a couple with Landing gear in his 6mm lines...
