Stellar Cartograhy

I have a few questions as I chart out some star systems.

1) Stellar Radii and Jump Masking. Is there any reference to Stellar Radii (to use to calculate 100 diameters) other than in Book 6? (And I note that it never defines how much a solar radii is.......Its 750,000km BTW)

2) When charting solar orbits, Bodes Law states orbits are regular and recurring. Are the distances of these orbits calulated form the center of the star or the surface of the star? Nothing is very clear, and can make a huge difference with large stars....

3) Gas Giant sattelite orbits. Again, are the orbits (in diameters) calculated from the surface or the center of the principals orbit?

Thanks all.....

Stellar radii will be dependent on the size of the star - 100 diameters from Betelgeuse is going to be a lot farther than 100 diameters from Sol. There are probably some good references out there on stellar sizes; I would recommend starting with Wikipedia - but always check any relevant non-Wikipedia links!

For anything dealing with orbital radii, whether around a star or a jovian planet, assume that the measurements are from the system barycenter - which in most cases is reasonably approximated by the center of the primary.
