Sydites and Four Arms

Where were the sydites detailed before? I thought T20 was their first appearance.

The one obvious place for that to happen would have been MTJ#4, but I just flipped through it and saw nothing obvious. They aren't in the GT book on Humaniti.

I think they got an offhand mention somewhere, but T20 really is the first shot at detail.

Ah yes, Rose McGowen, sited for a full throttle cinematic campaign.

I submit that I would never want to get into a grappling situation with a four armed martial artist, just imagining the holds, locks and manuevers they may be able to do to me is a chilling train of thoughts. There is a Phoenix Eye MA manuever that entails a one handed choke by seizing the throat with one hand and repeatedly striking the opponents face with the forms brutal striking attack, add two more arms........

In mtu, Sydites get a +1 to unarmed combat, or close quarters combat, the whole extra pair of arms for blocking/deflecting attacks, making attacks thing. May allow the reloading of one hand gun while firing with the other in the right circumstances, cinematics call for dual reloading of dual firing pistols. Beats tomb raiders reload back pack.

The only ones encountered by the players to date are in the employ of a Vargr female Buccaneer, 8 of them to be precise. Generally they weird out anyone who see's them. They are currently out in the Beyond at the moment, so Sydites are very nearly an unknown quantity to the locals.

in the MTJ4 there was a multi armed race namely the Dhroshav (i think that was how it was spelt), I didn't notice any extra bonuses for attacks however. They do reappear in T20 but it's been a long time since I've looked at it.

I created the Asderonti for my campaign as a four-armed mechanic race derived from humaniti stock by an Ancient known by the Asderonti as the 'Teacher'. At the time I didn't know about the Sydites
