At least this is a discussion board and not an e-mail list. One that I'm on has a tendency to be nearly a chatty as this board.

Every now and then the company that runs it has a confrence where they promote their web-site and mention list and often dozens of attendies sign up not knowing what they are getting into :D . This can cause the newbie quite a fright when their inbox suddenly has 50-100 messages a day (or more, I think the record was over 200 once).

It gets better. Now they panic and want off but fail to read the unsubscribe message at the bottom of every e-mail from the list and send a dozen or so "Please unsubscribe me" messages to the whole group - each one more threatening than the one before (the list is for the most part automated - if you don't follow the unsub link it doesn't know you want off

lol, I remember those. It would drive me nuts to get 50 gazillion "unsubscribe me" messages followed by the curses, rants, and whines.

I don't know, I've been thinking about this for a while in anticipation of D(20)-Day. I feel it's going to get real quiet here when 'The Book' actually gets into the hands of the good Citizens. I know I'll be hard to tear away from the pages for a while!

I agree - lets face it, scanning through 464 pages will take at least most of us some small amount of time to digest. I'd equate that period of nearly impenetrable quiet as the calm before the storm.

Personally, I CAN'T WAIT (but will have to)
