T20 PDF

I bought the PDF version of the handbook yesterday. I'm still reading it but I've come across some text that has me stumped.

Maybe I am tired but this doesn't make sense.

On page 154 I'm reading about the range rules. Two scales (personal/vehicle) and (space/starship) are listed.

I can't for the life of me figure out if the vehicle scale applies only to sensors (as the heading suggests) or to weapons as well (as the text seems to suggest) Do personal weapons really lose a die of damage after the first range increment?

I think the rules are supposed to be for sensors, comms, and SHIP weapons but I'm not sure.

thanks!

There is a redundant table. Pull the weapons out of it and use the range bands in the ship and weapon construction tables instead. IMHO this makes the most sense.

And no they do not lose a die of damage per range band.

Just my 2 cents:

[I applied the following rule extension to our T20 game - burst and full auto attacks only!]

For each additional increment beyond, the weapon’s accuracy is reduced by -2 (applied to the attacker’s to hit roll), and the damage roll is reduced by 1 die "if firing burst or full auto".
