Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
Issue 9 of Pegasus magazine, from Judges Guild, apparently included an entire non-canonical sector called Tagret. Anybody got this? Is it worth tracking down?

The second feature "Empires in Space" by Edward Kuns, looks like what I'm talking about. This sector was mentioned in passing on a D&D board talking about Judges Guild. Apparently it occupies the same place on the Charted Space map as Maranantha-Alkahest, which is weird considering JG published that sector!
I have it. It is worthwhile from the point of view that anything Traveller related is worthwhile. It consists of 1 paragraph of background, 3 paragraphs on Imperium, K'Kree, and Vargar Involvement (1 paragraph each) 11 paragraphs on various political entities (1 paragaph each). 7 paragraphs on the Sphereworld of Sobregol, a dyson sphere like object with a dimension hopping twist. 16 subsector descriptions, 16 subsector maps a sector map and an index. Altogether pages 9 to 32 in a newsprint magazine format. The detail is obviously a bit thin but not bad for JG at the time. If someone were to put all the JG stuff in a PDF it would be nice to include it. I dont think it could stand alone as a product.

Back last June and July, just before the forum change, I spearheaded a project to index all Classic Traveller materials. This Pegasus Issue, and that Sector, were covered.
Now, after the change, all the links are dead. Not too many others seemed interested in keeping the index threads going, so I ceased the effort.
But, if you wan tot read the Index Thread entry on that sector, look here:
The Index Thread Project wasn't completed, but there's a lot of info in those links to Classic Traveller materials. My idea was always not to have it as a one man show, but have one message posted as a sticky at the top of the forum. This message would have links to all the Index Threads.
Posters would keep the Index Threads updated by posting material (but keeping the discussion to a minimum in order to keep the Index Threads only as reference points).
This project kinda got lost in the change with the forum.
It was a good start; no need to delete it. My stuff was IIRC added to all of those. What they need is a stickied index-of-indexes and then we'll all be set. Then when i'll have spare time i could start catalouging our forum...
Golan: Users can't permanently delete anything. Mods have to go clean up user deleted posts.
I'm not gonna zap the threads, and I've not got the time to delete the duplicated posts all manually, but with the deleted thread tools, I can zap poster-marked-for-deletion posts in a couple minutes.
