Thank you for the books

Well I have to thank everyone who replied in this thread. http://www.travellerrpg.com/CotI/Discuss/showthread.php?t=18509 Got me reading a lot of excellent science fiction. I have been on a reading kick read quite a few.

Alan Dean Foster .......Icerigger
Poul Anderson ..........Trader to the Stars, Question and Answer
David Brin .............Otherness
Robert Asprin .........The Cold Cash war
Fredrick Pohl ........The Space Merchants

Right now I am in the middle of Larry Niven's Ringworld.

Alan Dean Foster's Midworld is a lot of fun, too. Bloodhype is not as well written, but it's darn good Traveller.

I got a very nice hardcover copy of a 1960s edition of Trader to the Stars for all of three bucks on ebay, and it's a great read.

Single minus so far: I wish he wouldn't be groping hawt chicks all the time.

BTW, I noticed on amazon that Baen are republishing all van Rijn and Falkayn (sp?) stories in hardcover.

Although the monster of Bloodhype nowadays has one of the most inappropriate names of all time. I mean, if your name was The Vom, wouldn't you now want to change your name by deed poll to something other than a puddle of puke? :)

Ohhh, Ringworld is a treat. It's one of those books I wish I could 'forget' so I could read it all over again afresh.
