The Injury Table

Phase A does not include the playrrs creating characters. The demo game is going to be run a bit like a convention event: pregenerated characters and a 3-4 hour time limit.

Phase B would involve interested players creating their own characters for a campaign.
 
The CharGen program I'm writing for Traveller uses the Mongoose Core Rulebook. I'm not too worried about the Injury Table because it doesn't come up all the time. I think it's cool when it does come up, depending on the careers a character has gone through. The program's audit trail highlights a character's life nicely. It gives enough detail for a player to use as the character's background story, before a game even starts.

And if I don't like a character, the computer spits out another one for me. It also generates the player's homeworld as part of the character's background history.

I have characters dying all the time just from aging if a STR 4 is rolled to start with. The interesting characters that end up dying from severe injuries, I can still use as NPCs by backing up a term.
