The Travellers' Handbook VS. TPHB

ok. Im getting closer to running my T20 game. Im sure that thrills everyone

I was just curious. Have you guys thought about publishing a Travellers Players Handbook T20?

Of the 464 pages there is an awful lot of stuff in that book that the players dont neccessarily need to know. Think you might come up with a 100+ page book for players only?

I dont think my players will want to buy it. I bought a copy for me and a friend already. Hes pretty broke. I cant buy a copy for each person in the group.

Yes, QLI has. It's in playtest etc. at the moment. see:

and various threads on this forum

Main thing is it's OGL so has all the chargen and basic combat info and some extra goodies, like more prestiage classes. Looks like a one stop book for players.

In a pinch I'd download
T20 Lite which I believe has most if not all the skill and feat lists and descriptions as well as other basic info. Also the d20 Modern SRD or d20 3.0 SRD can come in handy since T20 is based on d20 3.0 rules.

Note it may have some errata so when in doubt the T20 THB w/ errata corrections is the final authority.

Hope this helps,
Casey

I believe it's through playtest now.

Use the board's search function and search for "player guide", you should find some up to date posts.

Cool. I don't know how far along QLI is with the playtest but it can't hurt to send them an email.

note: I edited the first reply and added some extra goodies to it

Does anyone now a price tag for the phbt20 because I'm in the same boat as jodasi I own everything for every game i'v played i'ts always easier to get people to game if there is no cost to them

well, i wouldnt say NO cost. id put down some bucks for a players hand book. Maybe it doesnt have to be hardbound. Softbound books are cheaper.

/me shrugs

But most these days don't last as long as hardcovers and they don't in general sell as well in the stores. Something along the lines of if they sell 2 hardcover books they make as much profit as 3 or 4 softcovers IIRC among other reasons.

I do however think there is a real need for this book and the sooner it is on the shelves the better. The setting books and traveller's aides are good but I already have the pdf versions which works fine.

Print out the subsector the group's in, lookup the vehicle on the computer etc. . I play t20 online only at the moment anyway so I'm already at the computer when I play.
