As Traveller fans we've done it all,
we're grognards through and through.
So don't you newbies mess with us,
or this is what we'll do:

We'll rant and rave and call you names,
we'll ridicule your posts;
we'll sneer at rules you really like,
and that will hurt the most.​

If you can't take a bit of chaff,
if banter's not you thing,
just say the word and we'll shut up
so fast your ears will ring.

We'll be polite and call you sir,
be formal, meek and curt.
we'll just ignore the things you say,
and that will REALLY hurt!​

Take heart, my friend, do not despair,
the course of time runs true.
[Spoken] Just think, in a few short months,
YOU can be a grognard too! [/spoken]

You'll rant and rave, call people names,

Actually, you need to use color = #F9F9F9, not white...

The trick* there is to apply the colour in the "quick reply" text box where the formatting drop downs work, unlike in the "advanced" reply where the menu is messed up. Or memorize the hex codes for the colours and do it manually


* at least on my compy, and apparently yours, and I suspect most if not all, and due I'm guessing to a bug in the forum software
