Traveller Adventure

Someone posted here a while back about "The Traveller Adventure", a Traveller based merchant-centric game I wrote a while back. I didn't save their contact.
I'm working on the next version and I thought they might find it interesting. If you are still reading here, drop me a line.
Cheers,
Jo

YOU wrote The Traveller Adventure? There's five names listed at the front of the book I have, and yours isn't one of them. I'm confused...

Ha ha ha! Sorry, no, I only helped write T4. I wrote a Traveller game called "The Traveller Adventure", inspired by the original LBB one. Sorry for the confusion. :)

I'm confused. How is your The Traveller Adventure, based on the "orignal LBB one", different from the The Traveller Adventure by MWM, LKW, FAC, John Harshman, and J. Andrew Keith?

Hey all:

Jo is referring to a _computer_ game (written in Java) that Jo called "The Traveller Adventure."

If you click on the "Core" link in Jo's sig, you can see/play the game.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Thanks for clarifying, dancha. The link goes to the old game. (I just tried but it didn't work in Firefox!) The new one is prettier and has (MT) ship design built in from the bottom up. I'm working on combat right now. God, my eyes are crossing. I forgot just how many misprints were in MT. :)
Cheers,
Jo

The game won't run on my setup. Latest IE and java 2 platform version 1.4.2_06
I even tried in command prompt, so it isn't IE.

Yeah. I just looked at it. It's getting an error based on a change that was made going from Java 1.1.8->1.2. I remember doing a patch for it at some point. I guess it never made it to that web site.
Anyway, the new one is at least as functional now as the old one, so I'm probably better off continuing to work on that. If you are dreadfully interested you can find last week's build here:

It's not ready for prime-time but you may find it amusing.
Cheers,
Jo
