Traveller formula

On page 340, the Travel Formulas sidebar.

The text says "Two times the square root of Distance divided by Acceleration."

The formula says something different:

2 x (D/A)superscript2

or

Two times the square of the Distance divided by Acceleration.

Which is it?

I couldn't find this listed in the latest errata.
 
If you have classic traveller book 2 the actual formulae are in there. KIt appears your first answer is correct ie: 2x the square root of distance / acceleration.

Thanks. That is what I went with because the numbers made more sense.

So the formula is a misprint...
