Did anyone get a chance to try the Traveller LARP at GenCon? I wasn't there on Thursday and missed it. How did it go?

This is almost without a doubt the single least usefull link I have ever seen posted. What does it mean? Is the email addy given there a contact for somebody who knows something? Or is it a work in progress that will have some actual content sometime?

I am increasingly of the opinion that RPGs are by the nature of their creation subjective phenomenon. due to the interaction between game designers, game masters, and game players all definitions, rules, settings, and adventures are mutable in acordance with the uncertainty principle as expounded by Heisenburg. This is of course merely my point of view.

Heh, sorry I ran across this link (which works), and just stripped it to its root and posted it without checking what was there.

It's not our site, I was just providing a hopefully useful link

Well that lead to a survey which I filled out. After which I was invited to join their Larp August 2nd (Now where did I leave that time machine?) They had a brief description of the game they ran (I assume they were describing the larp I can't really say for sure.)

My only question is, "What in the 10,000 worlds is a, 'rouge AI?'" Hyperintelligent Makeup?

A French TL16 computer painted red?

All kidding aside, over an innocent (spell checkers are knot infallible) typo, I strongly urge everyone to follow the correct link a bit above this post and fill out the survey. Trust me, I've been trading in and out of Imperial space for over 20 years now and a marketing survey is the best way to get the product(s) you want.

This is the far-trader Empress Poppaea signing off.

I would really want to see what Traveller 3I uniforms are suppose to look like. When I asked Marc, they could like classic Roman legions.

or look how the Marine look changed from CT to MT. Is there any guidelines for the fashion-sense of the 3I?

I favor that Neru collar look that was pioneered by DGP.

Hello - just wandered across the board today. I played the Traveller LARP at GenCon, and had a good time.

The people who run it are die-hard Traveller fans - the system uses UPP's, and full ship stats were also included for background.

The game itself centered on widgets and the promised French computer

- I'd think it would be pretty dependent on the people who played, but this was a good crew.

One thing that impressed me (a lot) was that the game only had around 8 players out of 30, but still ran with only minimal tweaking.
