QFT. It's no TheRPGSite.com, but the moderation staff is alternating between psychotic and enabling flaming and trolling.
The thing you have to understand about RPGnet and its Moderation policy is that it is designed to create an emotionally safe space and to minimize disruption, to the point where actual discussion of certain subjects is absolutely forbidden. Not a good place for an honest conversation.
Yes, the mods at RPGnet are psychos. Stopped going there a couple years ago.
At TheRPGSite you can win a debate against a Mod without getting banned.![]()
Accepted as a personal challenge, I visited TheRPGSite ... my second post drew my first personal attack ... apparently I "obviously missed the bus on RPG's."Honestly, if you can stand the flames and trolling, TheRPGSite has got some of the best tabletop RPG conversation anywhere. Just know that it is the Mos Eisley cantina of forums. Makes the old Political Pulpit look tame by comparison. The Pundit believes in free speech, and it shows.
But there is a sizeable Traveller friendly community there.

It is not for the faint-hearted. What is your handle on there?

just in case anyone else wondered, I am atpollard (short for Arthur T. Pollard) everywhere that I post ... it reminds me that I am not anonymous on the internet, so I don't type anything that I wouldn't say in person.EDIT: I found the exchange.
