Hello again,

Thanks to a kind soul who pointed me in the right direction I have TD #13. I haven't read all the article yet, but what I've read has cleared up some of my questions and confusion.

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of Challenge 36?

Hello all,

I was looking through BITS Traveller: The Periodical Bibliography and stumbled across two MT starship design articles. Of course the articles are in two different Traveller related magazines. As indicated in the Subject line I am looking for a copy of Traveller's Digest #13: "A MT Starship Design Example: The Gaming Digest" by Joe D. Fugate and in Challenge 36: "Starship Design Notes" by Jerry Westergaard. I've searched eBay, Traveller Trader, and several other out-of-print dealers without finding either one. Does someone know a site that might have these in stock or perhaps has a spare copy that I can purchase?

I have both of these (and unwilling to part with them). But for your information:

TD13 contains a blow by blow example of building a 75,000 dton battlecruiser Regal (From TCS). There are better reasons to buy this issue (like the bionics rules and the Terra articles). If you can find a copy for a reasonable price, it may be worth it for the one article.

Challenge Article is one page of very general gearhead advice, and a two page spreadsheet for a 400dton modified free trader. Not worth buying for the one article.

Thank-you for confirming the text accompanying the Periodical Bibliography listing.

The blow by blow example in TD13 is the main reason I am looking for a copy. For some reason I just have a hard time with the design system, either using the book or a design aid like Aces &Dogs Ships III. Actually, with the exception of GT, I have a hard time using them all, although using a design aid, okay crutch, makes the design process easier. This is the listed article that caught my eye while I was looking through my recently purchased copy of "Traveller: The Periodical Bibliography." With the other articles in the issue that you mention this sounds like a good item to get.

Well, the one article in Challenge is not the only reason I am looking for a copy. This one would fill in one of the holes I have in my Challenge magazines collection.
