Utzig and the Interactive Atlas

Sturn

SOC-13
Is anyone aware of a way to contact Ned Utzig, creator of the Interactive Atlas of the Imperium? No links from the atlas website that I can find. http://www.utzig.com/traveller/iai.shtml

Of all the maps out there, I like this one the best, but would love to be able to tweak some of the information for my own liking, add surface maps to some worlds, adjust UPPs, etc. I was hoping to get permission and guidance on how to download his entire site (including any scripts, I love his system generator) to my local hard drive. I have some knowledge of html so I could then adjust things or add things to my liking.

I think I located a business contact for him, but thought it would be inappropriate to use it for this purpose.

Is downloading someone's website without permission considered bad conduct in internet land?

If it's an ok thing to do, is there some way to do this with websites that aren't just straight html? (a.i. getting all of the sources needed such as databases, scripting, etc, that the site uses).

I don't plan on reposting my adjustments to the website online, just using it on my local machine during gameplay.

I figure it would be bad form to just cop somebody's website without saying anything.

It's strange that you can't find a contact for him. I'm assuming that ned@utzig.com didn't get through to him. That was the address posted on his site.

Sent a message to that address. No errors with it, but no response so far.

The guestbook on the site appears to have been closed for some time.

I recently found another email address via the FAQ that I had not noticed before that I will be trying also.

EDIT: Received a very courteous response from Utzig. Ignore my initial thread, got answers for what I was asking. Thanks.
