I picked it up today at the local game store. I haven't really had a chance to do more than skim it, since I've been making Christmas cookies, so my first impressions are mostly based on layout and art, as opposed to content.
Art - solid B/B+. The ships still suffer the same "problems", which to me are the designs with prows that look like ocean-going vessels.
Layout - good enough. I'm bothered that the map of the Vargr Extents is "upside-down", at least according to the rules of putting maps in books that I was taught back in the day.
What else... no smudged excessively inked pages like my MGT Scouts book. No murky artwork.
I'll skim it further later on, but my overall impression thus far is the book is at least a good solid B.
