For a combination Traveller movie and chick flick, I would recommend that people go out to see View From the Top. Too many situations remind me of Traveller campaigns that I used to run...

Alas, no. Rather, the stewards had to deal with disgruntal passengers, inexperienced pilots before making to the big leagues.

Yes, it's a pity that Book 9: Stewards never came out...

Speaking of seeing present-day stories in Traveller terms, I've been watching the Fastlane series lately and thinking how updates of the situations there could serve nicely as adventures (heck, some seem lifted from 76 Patrons themselves).

That's the funniest thing I've seen on the board in quite some time.

I really like that show as well. I think you're right about useing the plots for traveller. Definitely not your typical cop show.
