General What Adventures are for 1 person?

Spinward Scout

Hi Everybody!

I was wondering if anyone knows what Adventures can be played with just one Player and a Referee?

Would I be able to do a Search on the Wiki?

Maybe another website?

Thanks for any help.

I never thought of that. I'll look it over. Thanks!

I guess Imperial Fringe could be a Single Person game, which a Scout/Courier and a Single Scout. May be a little boring, unless the Referee spices it up.

Was thinking about this at work today.

Are you leaning towards published adventures to save time? Or to get the creative juices flowing? Or to provide a framework/stats/maps etc for a complete adventure? Or?....

I only ask because I was thinking about how Traveller random encounter tables are less about encounters and more about situations.

A few rolls on the random encounters tables in your rules of choice could give you a great set up, a few more reveal a meaningful complication and just a couple more could be the twist to help set up a satisfying end. If you have a subsector rolled up or chosen you can plug in just about anything and suddenly you’ll find yourself as surprised as the player about where things could be/are going.

Of course this means basically writing the adventure yourself which I realize is basically off-topic but if you keep striking out with published material maybe this could be a way to get something going.

Across the Bright Face
Mission on Mithril
Prison Planet
Marooned

But all get harder alone.

Oh, and Beltstrike.

Yeah, I'm looking for Published adventures. Even Mercenary Tickets and Patron Encounters might work.

I would think that Broadsword could be interesting as a one-person game. Play it as a Squad Leader and everyone else as NPCs.

For even more fun, mix Broadsword and Chamanx Plague for a cool ALIENS feel.
