Anyone know how to run a winform .NET application on an iPad2?
port the code to ObjC...
Seriously, there are a few commercial .net endeavors for iOS and android.

(There were some initial driver issues with Vista but that wasn't the O/S fault, that was the hardware makers not getting their finger out.)
Some manufacturers were no longer around. Others couldn't afford the arm & leg MS wanted to approve them.
In my case it was an ATI graphics card for a Sony laptop. (The problem was that within a week of installing, and I tried this multiple times, it lost the ability to handle DirectX or play AVIs.)
The laptop originally came with XP but Sony did offer some initial beta drivers for Vista even though by that time the laptop in question was a discontinued line. ATI still supported the comparable desktop drivers but refused to support any laptop drivers ... saying that support for all laptop graphics cards was only through the laptop manufacturer.
There is a direct x control panel I downloaded to help me with that, I may still have it, I can send it to you if you want it.

Holey moley! That many people still use XP?

I think the poll is old, I was xp and now I am 7, for example.
And I use Wine, now, not XP. And never have used Windows anything as my primary OS.
I use what is most convenient, 7 came loaded on my new laptop.
Most people do... sadly, this has emboldened M$ (and Apple). It used to be that system upgrades were in fact UPgrades.
Microsoft is rolling out upgrades that are at best beta-quality, and not worthwhile.
Apple, likewise, is rolling out half-baked "upgrades" that similarly less than essential.
Still, I like 10.6.
