When was the last time you and one or more others got together, in person, and played Traveller?

Assume "Traveller" means a recognizable superset, subset, or mix from among [CT, MT, TNE, T4, GT, T20, T5]. Using any playtest material, older or newer, counts.

On-line gaming doesn't count, for the purposes of this poll.

Solo gaming, can be legitimately done with Traveller, also doesn't count, for the purposes of this poll.

I believe it's been five years since I played Traveller face-to-face. It makes me kind of sad.

Last year.

The guy that plays my partner character has moved to Portland and comes in about once a year to see his folks here in NY and that's when we usuallly have marathon sessions. Myself, my ref and one other high school chum are still in NY, though.

We're having another June 11 from about the afternoon to the early morning. It'll be about 10 to 12 hours of gameplay I expect. Another chunk in a campaign that has been going on since '82.

Well, since there is no category for More than 20 years... I have to go with more than 5.

GOD! It was 1983 the last time I sat down and played. How sad is that?!

Just over a month ago, so I selected the 1-3 month option. I ran an adventure featuring gunplay for two groups simultaneously at a game night.

I've 'boiled down' the CT Double Adventure "Across the Bright Face" into a system for producing small gun battles. By 'small' I mean a battle between 4-6 PCs and an equal number of NPCs. The battles are played out with miniatures.

The players move their ATV across a point-to-point map of Dinomn and not a full hex map while worrying about fuel and dealing with random events. My version normally produces 3 battles with the pursuing miners; one at the prospectors' camp, one outside the starport, and another somewhere along the trek.

For combat I used a set of minis rules the game group was familiar with and not any purely Traveller combat rules.

Have fun,
Bill

Six days ago, on Sunday afternoon, May 7th. I run a monthly T20 game that has spent just under 2 years in the 4th Imperium in 1248, and has spent the last six months or so in alternate universes due to catastrophic misjumps. It's been fun so far, and the characters have gone from 6th-7th level up to 13th or so, so far. Of course, they haven't been in a true firefight in about four levels. Hmmm.... maybe that should change soon...

Keep On Travellin',
Flynn

I'm running a monthly game. CT based (with some tweakies).

Set in the Spinward Marches. Year 1105. Aramis subsector.

It's a "greatly-GM-tweaked-version" of the Traveller Adventure.

Twice a month, sometimes more. We have a hardcore group that meets whenever we can. Sometimes we do other games but CT is an old favorite.

Our public library offers a “open table” night twice a month. I Have thought about showing up with an adventure but it is hard with a toddler.

2003
I ran a TNE game just before I got married and moved 80 miles away from my group. I have yet to find another group up on my mountain. The guys play Warhammer where I live now.
(I'm building a 40K Necron Army :D )

An aborted GT back in 2003, a 2300AD one-shot back in 2004. The last full-fledged Traveller (TNE) was in 1995-1998.

Around here it's WoD and D&D and with a "all talk, no doing" style. Sorry but I'd rather watch a re-run of Bush seniors 15 best speeches.

I actually have a pretty good regular game going for a few months now, with about five players who show up on a regular basis. It's a good time! T20, if you were wondering.

I've got a game starting tonight. I've not played Traveller for many, many years and none of my current group have experienced its delights. I'm really looking forward to introducing people to the magic of a CT campaign in the Spinward Marches.

Cheers,

Sacha
