When It's Cold I'd Like To Die (July 18th, 2005 interview with MWM on rpg.net)

Truce, Dr Thomas?

I thought that Peter Elson did the majority of the artwork for Stewart Cowley's old TTA books.
Unfortunately, Peter Elson died back in 1999. So most of his work in sci-fi art is in those TTA books. Some samples of his artwork can be found on this French site (sorry, couldn't link the images)

Finally got a chance to look at the images...most impressive! Stuff I would hang on the wall and look at for inspiration.

Yup, I use Peter Elson images as inspiration when I do spacecraft or just scenes for the players. For some reason, he just really hit the mark for me - and you it seems.

Peter Elson's stuff is more flame added to the fire of quite a lively debate. Traveller purists must admit it would have some merit even though it has those funky pink tones that some hated in T4.

This plus the ultra computer generated images that I have seen lately on these boards would create a winning look for Traveller (T5).

Sure, keep the old Black & White images (although, my preference would be to either do away with them or just keep the very best - Keiths & Blair Reynolds, IMHO). This way create a distinctive look for Traveller much as the LLB defined Traveller and the Keith artwork.

Afterall, we are trying to create a market leader, here with T5, why not set the bar very high so that rest of the industry follows us.
